Why is it so important to have female role models when deciding to start a business?
First of all, trying to start something new isn't easy.
It is a journey fraught with pitfalls and challenges.
And it's true that sometimes, as a woman, one might say: "There are few who have gone so far." On the other hand, there are also many men in the world of investment,in banks.
Will I be up to the task? Will I make it? Will I succeed?
And it's true that showing that other people have already done it before, who succeeded, who also experienced failure, because that taking action is also possible.
It also means experiencing failure, which is part of the experience and history.
It also helps to take the drama out of it.I think it also plays a role in the education of young girls.
Because I have two daughters myself, I place a lot of importance on To say: There are no jobs for men, there are no careers that are more scientific for men as well as women.
And to say: If you want to do something, you can do it.
Whether you're a man or a woman, a boy or a girl, there's no bias here.
And giving examples of people who have done it before helps you to imagine yourself in their shoes.to say to yourself: Hey, that's possible too, and to tell yourself that there are no limits.and that there is no glass ceiling in anything we undertake.
And it's true that initiatives, for the moment, there is still a need for quotas, sometimes, in the corporate world,to artificially increase the percentage of women in boards of directors, in particular.
And that is precisely part of the French Tech mission's gender equality charter.to encourage and help women grow in these areas.
For now, it's something that's necessary because it allows me to support and ensure that the positions established are changing and evolving.
And I think it's essential to listen to these initiatives.
I also think of Sista, in particular, which is an initiative,a collective whose mission is to add, help women more specifically to take action and get started, to be bold and launch new ventures, because the reality is pretty harsh.
That is to say, only slightly less than 2% of women are co-founders and CEOs of startups today.
We think, wow, there's a huge gap and there's something to do to change that.
It is all these initiatives that, in my opinion, are positive.that are in line with history and that reveal that diversity,The fact that there are different points of view is definitely positive and it's building some pretty exciting new things.
You were talking about Clara Chappaz? Yeah. It's true that I'm quite impressed, for example, the career path of Clara Chappaz, who was initially an entrepreneur, who have had important roles in large companies, let's say, collectives or other organizations, which then invested in the mission French Tech, was the director of the mission French Tech for a number of years and has highly valued the priorities of French Tech and all diversity issues, in particular.
And now she has turned her commitment into a mission within of the government as Minister of Intelligence artificial intelligence and digital technology.
I think it's a strong commitment because she's serving a cause.
A cause which, in my opinion, is extremely important.
She acts as a spokesperson for many initiatives and many voices.
She has incredible energy to transform things and to help this sector evolve.
So, I really admire her ability to do that and bring people together around her.
Then there are all the stories of women entrepreneurs who started their own businesses.
There are plenty in tech. That's admirable.I follow them with great pleasure and attention.
